Manitoba, Canada | Have a dump trailer style hydraulic pump on a highway truck and in spring we have a grain trailer with a small conveyor under the hopper. Im guessing the pump is putting out close to 40 GPM, but I only need about 12 gpm at the conveyor. I have a pressure relief valve inline but the oil gets hotter than I would like. Would plumbing in a bypass with a needle valve do the trick to send some more oil back to the tank? Would that help keep the oil cooler? I know we should have a pump better matched to the motor, but its not the only thing we use it for. | |
