Central Iowa | I purchased a Nomad computer to run Farmworks mobile. My Nomad has a serial port to connect external reciever to connect to a Raven 450 monitor/controller. Farmworks support told me to use to use socket insert which is suppose to be inserted into the top of the Nomad (like the Ipaq) and to connect to my Invivta 115 reciever, then connect the Nomad to the 450 with a cable. Only one problem, there is no slot to insert the socket at the top of the Nomad, only a slot for the SD card. Do I really need an SD card? I didn't think the Farmworks staff person was very helpfull and didn't seem very knowledgeable for hooking up a Nomad. Anybody using a Nomad with external reciever? | |
