Found this link while looking at a daily business brief I get on my email.  Egyptian businessman Magdy el Ashram has applied for permission to build a camel slaughterhouse in Australia to process camel meat in accordance with halal dietary laws. Camels are considered pests in Australia, but their milk and meat are popular in the Middle East.
