Subject: Tractor hyd 3rd remote question

Can anyone explain how this add on remote works? There are no separate controls for it in the cab. Would it be continuous flow to operate a planter motor or something similar? Or plumbed to simultaneously operate with one of the other remotes? It's on a 4640 I am interested in buying.. TIA
