My truck has a 10 speed eaton autoshift transmission behind a c12 cat. It has the annoying characteristic of kicking on the jake for a short burst as you upshift under load. I think it does this to synchronize gears and according to truck dealer service manager who spoke to Eaton this is normal. It does it worse when you control the shifting manually but will also do it in automatic. I think you lose momentum when it does this. Does anyone else know of an autoshift truck that has this annoying habit
