Only way I can get my 2 stroke motor cycle to start is to remove the sparkplug and heat it with a cig. lighter.  Install and kick start it.  

What gives ?

Weak sprark?

 Would low compression affect the starting? 

Reminds me of my old chain saw 20 years ago.  If you wanted to use when it was cold out you needed to bring it inside the night before.

 It was about 35 degrees today.  Not a new bike.  1980 Can Am 250 Qualifier.  Once I got it going it really scream yet.  It even pulls the front tire off the ground in second gear now.  Better than before I had the carb cleaned.  ( Just had the carb. over hauled, did no good on the starting issue.)    

Once it is warm it will restart.  Let it set, 10 min. on a cold day like today no start.
