Subject: Air Line Between Building ?'s

Chilliwack, British Columbia
When we built our new parlour a few years ago, we put 2 2" conduits between it and our machine shed, with plans on finishing the one end for a shop (had weanling calves in it at that time). Although not near finished, calves are out and am starting to use the space as a shop. Have a 5hp air compressor in the barn. What would be the best line to run to the shop to fill another large tank using the same compressor?

Buildings are ~50' apart, with conduits going in about 15' in either building.

Was thinking just using 3/8 air line, would this be enough capacity for that far if using lots of air in the shop? Would also use line as a backup in case barn compressor went down during milking, and needed to use the old shop compressor to run parlour/crowdgate.

Let me know what you all think.

Glenn
