Subject: TeeJet boom section valves

South Georgia
Several of the boom section valves on my new-to-me 3185 leak just a little bit. Not much, just enough that if the pump is running, the tips continue to drip. The diaphragms are good, that's not the problem. If I screw a diaphragm off of a section to let the pressure off the section, they will all quit dripping for ten or fifteen seconds, but then start back.

Is this common with these valves? The valves on the machine have poly balls, whereas I think most other brands of valves have stainless balls.

Also, I just had to replace the actuators on two valves. I can shake them and hear water in them, and one of them doesn't appear to be very old. How long do these actuators tend to live? Might have to make some oil-jug hats for them to keep the water off and give the neighbors something else to laugh at. LOL. Any way to take them apart without completely destroying them?
