looking at a used 1989 motor home with a Detroit V8 Diesel 8.2 L. engine and allison. never heard of the 8.2 before. guy says it sounds good, no oil leaks, good power, 13mpg. what are the good points of this engine? from what i read on it when i looked it up, i think i will pass on it. i would rather have a cummins. 8.3, like in my tractor.
