Subject: Harvest in West Aussie

Western Australia
Started harvesting barley today, getting approx 26 bushels per acre, normally around 50, but it is feed grade, 64% screenings and protein up over 13% and moisture at 9%. We generally get most of it in as malt grade, but with only 7.5" rain for the growing season, we can't expect too much more. Will move on to canola tomorrow and see what happens from there. Will be lucky to get 15bus from the wheat, but we are luckier than a lot who will not harvest anything.
