Oskaloosa, Iowa 52577

that would seal out the moisture??

Situation----------periodically we hit a rock, an implement, a piece of steel, etc etc that puts a cut into the belts on the Cats.   Those cuts allow moisture to get into the cables, and eventually allows rust, which in turn allows the cables to break.............resulting in replacement of the belt, like we just went thru.

Of course, since the replacement of a belt just happened (and I bellyached rather loudly about the expense), everyone is a little sensitive to the cuts now, and have found several on the other belts that are hollering for attention.

Surely there is a compound, a fixit kit, whatever that could be poured, etc etc into those cuts which would be flexible enough to take the abuse that the belts get, and yet seal cables from the moisture.

Comments??

Thanks.
