Subject: A soybean buyer called today looking for 12% beans

Newfane NY
He needed car loads of beans at 12% or less. Load rail cars and ship to New Jersey to be unloaded and put into ocean containers. Headed to China. Are beans always shipped overseas at 12% or is China looking for dry beans for long term storage?

They will take up to 13% at a 10% discount on price and anything over 13% gets brought back to you and you pay rail both ways. I passed as I feel I can not supply 12% beans.

Interesting that they are looking for beans in New York and would buy single cars at a time.

Just info for the group.
