Subject: old corn varieties

nw/nc iowa on the banks of West Buttrick Creek..
About 5 years ago someone had a plot in central IOwa where they planted the "hot" variety of the decade. First I think they planted an open pollenated corn, then some of the first hybred corn, then xl 45 and pio 3780 and so on. Did they ever release the results..? Somehow I missed the results. Was important enough to make WHO jwhen it was being planted.
I would still like to have a bag of xl 45 and see how it compares, worth 5 bpa for a lot less residue.
