Ohio | Hand shelled some wheat heads today after walking a good part of the field. Portable tester shows it at 14.0 - 14.6% It needs about 1-2 more drying days to be perfect. Few stalks have a slight greenish tint to them yet but heads seem dry. Im guessing the moisture may possibly go up to 15% once you get the combine set, but I dont know.
Weatherman is calling for possible thunderstorms tomorrow night thru Friday morning and then again Saturday night.
Would you wait and let it get rained on? Or get it now? I know what I am thinking I should do, but more opinions are always better.
