I had to replace actuator on 8940 turbo and dealer told me that actuator rod should move something like .0015-.0040" when 26.4 lbs of pressure is applied to it.

I'm wondering if I have to much fuel turned on it, or if the actuator is stuck.........but then, even if there was to much fuel turned on.....it should still waste part of the boost......ya think?

could have a ruptured diaphragm in actuator. Put a hand-vac on it to see if it holds a vacuum or pressure. This actuator actually works on positive pressure. Check the rubber hose going to it for cracks. There is also a plastic line going to injection pump, check it for cracks. Too much boost can lead to blown head gaskets. Is 33 too much? not a mechanic so I'm not sure. Best to put hand vac on line coming out of intake manifold that way you know hoses are ok.

Lug it more than 2150 and boost goes down.(2150 is where it peaks)......no smoke, none while pulling, only at first throttle, which I would consider normal.

The EGT gauge doesn't have numbers, only bars. Pulling pan.....doesn't stay in a load long enough for the gauge to respond...........about 1/2 in the "green", which tells me absolulty nothing....actually runs very clean, as usual.

If you are peaking at 33, but not holding it long I would not be conserned.
Now if you had a big field cultivator on it and held it there all day...you would have big problems I suspect.
It's all about duty cycle.
Have you dyno'd it?
