Subject: 12r 30 case ih 1200 planter

Hi,
trying to get a 1200 to plant larger sized peanuts and pretty much finding that it won't. The seed bridges in the bottom of the hopper and eventually one row will stop planting then you loose a little vacuum and the whole deal stops planting, then you dig the row out and back way the crap up and go a little ways further. The planter has always had some trouble with peanuts but the larger seed we are trying to plant now is making it impossible. Not to mention there is no telling that a row is bridged up till you notice a vacuum loss because the planter computer and the pro 600 computer are not sharing information correctly so we are running without a monitor. That particular issue is most likely a wiring problem but there is only a week left to chase wires when only a week left to plant another 600 acres of peanuts and 500 acres of cotton. And on top of that our sorry cih dealer is absolutely no help with the situation and were begged to come out a month ago when the monitor problems arose.
I hate to have to go along with it but I am heading to Bunkie Louisiana tomorrow to pick up a used 1720 deere planter as we know they do a decent job with peanuts. Hate to see this happen as we love the early riser units but if the rest of the machine won't cooperate then it has got to go!!
