Central Kansas
I know some of you are getting pounded with rain, snow, others with cold, damp, cloudy weather which is the situation here in my area. Looked at my corn that was planted on the 15th of April and it better get with the program or it won't be ready to harvest by fall................I know this is an exaggeration but, is everyone's Corn SLOW about growing? Hopefully it will start making progress!

I started planting mine April 1st in Rice county KS. It has been very slow growing. I was hoping to get back to wheat with all my conr ground, but at the rate that it is going don't know if I will make it.

Given last year all our corn was still in the bag at this point I would say we are way ahead of last year. Are you considering growth stage or height? We have a lot of 4-5 leaf corn that is just shy of being a month old. It's not very tall compared to 4-5 leaf corn a year ago.
