Subject: Planting pics from the weekend.

Quincy, IL
Teaching my 8 year old son the basics on Sunday afternoon. Running a JD 4430 with quad-range, I let him drive on the good going, run the throttle and switch ranges on the turns. I was in charge of lifting the planter and running markers. He figured out the importance of the markers pretty quick....during one of the turns I didn't quite get the marker all the way down and he caught it about 100 ft after we turned. He asked me in a serious voice "how are we gonna know where to drive on the way back".

He loved scrolling thru the information on the kinze monitor as well. At one point he grabbed my phone (to use the calculator), asked me how many acres the field was and quickly told me in an amazed voice "hey dad, we're gonna need 2 million and 565 thousand seeds for this field!" (75 acres, 34,200 pop)

It was a good day for both of us.
