Subject: ISTEER disengaging, any ideas?

Oelwein, Iowa
Here's one to think about. I haven't taken delivery yet on an 8400T with a new GS2600 and the Starfire ITC receiver. Also part of the package is a 1790 planter equipped with ISTEER, and another Starfire ITC receiver, using a 3 point mounted slide hitch to compensate for side draft of the planter. During testing, after assembly at the dealership, the SCV used to operate the slide hitch portion of the ISTEER drops out of AC (auto control) and goes to EC. This causes an alert on the 2600, (SCV not in auto control) causes the Hyd warning light on the tractor to flash, and of course stops the ISTEER action. Sometimes, the Auto Control can be re-engaged, and sometimes it will not re-engage. Sometimes, just the lift cycle at the headland will disengage the SCV. So far, after shutting everything down, the system resets itself and it all works great. At this time no one, including Mother Deere, has any good ideas. How about some thoughts?
