Subject: More on peas:How much N will peas fix?

Still kicking around planting some peas in northwest Kansas this spring. Have a university fellar wanting to put in a test plot. I would like to do more than just his one acre test plot and am thinking about 80 acres. Looking at DS Admirals (yellows). I would like to harvest them around the same time that winter wheat is coming off - around July 1st. Are there other varieties I should consider? How much N will an average pea crop fix for future crops? I've seen numbers that they are better at fixing N than soybeans, but am having trouble locating the data. Thanks in advance. Sure appreciate the knowledge shared on NAT.

From sunny northwest Kansas...make it a great Day!
