Subject: Building a dump bed wagon

West Central Wisconsin
I have a 22 foot stake bed currently mounted "fixed" on a single axle GMC Top Kick with no engine. I also have a 12 ton tandem running gear. I would like to put a hydraulic hoist between the two to be able to haul big square bales and dump them off the bed using tractor hydraulics. I think there would be enough length to haul 24, 600-800 lb. bales of mostly straw. With the bales and the weight of the bed I would be nearing 12 tons?? Would a hoist and cylinder off an old barge box work or should I be looking for a hoist from a truck to use? Should I use the trucks frame for strength and hinge point or hinge it on the wagons rear bolster? Joe.
