Subject: Soybeans vs. herbicide sensitivities

Fontanelle, IA
In looking through my corn herbicide plans for the spring, I pulled out my corn hybrid tech sheets that my rep gave me to review herbicide sensitivities. In it, all of the hybrids had a "sensitivity" rating to 2-4D/dicamba, Balance, etc.

I've probably missed something in the past; however, does anyone have a "general" rule that they follow when selecting residual soybean pre-emerge herbicides? Are soybeans more sensitive (ie. crop yield response) to certain pre-emerge herbicides than others? If so, which ones should I use? We're trying to suppress pigweed/waterhemp, lambsquarters, and few pesky giant ragweeds. Curious if anyone has done any research on this?

Thanks Again!
