Highland Center, in Southeast Iowa | On the evening news tonite, we were told that the manufacturing economy in China is not as healthy as it has been in the recent past. Seems that Christmas merchandise orders from U.S. retailers are down and they (the Chinese) are experiencing lay-offs, and expecting Easter, etc. orders to be very low as well. It was theorized that it's a result of the weak U.S. economy, but I prefer to think that it's because of Americans paying attention and NOT buying the "Made in China" junk in the quantities we used to. I've always tried to take my good news where ever I could find it!! |
