Subject: Intermittent corn drying-----does it work??

Oskaloosa, Iowa 52577

Fellow told me today that he had heard from IA State that intermittent corn drying was working better on this high moisture corn as compared to just putting the juice to it until it dryed down to 15-17.

He did not catch what it saved----------fuel, or time.

Said that they were recommending at, say, 30%, that dry to about 20-22.........then shut the burners off and let stirrators and blower work for a day or two, cooling the corn, and then starting up burners again.

I could not find anything on it............but I could have easily overlooked it.

What say you??

Thanks.
