east central nebraska | Got going on beans again today. Amp light came on dimly, volts looked good. About dark so I turned the lights on to see what the volt meter would do, held it's own. Turned lights off and the front lights stayed on. Finally went off on there own and amp light went of and stayed off. Cut two hours in dark and everything seem ok. I'm afraid the motorola alternatior is going. Best alt. I've had. Had it rebuilt about 12 years ago because it is unavailable. CaseIH wants you to change to Bosch. And if I remember right the change to Bosch was going to be expensive. Any suggestions or experiences on what to do. Finally have a window to get done with beans but am afraid the alternator is going to go and it will take a couple of days to get it rebuilt.
