| Did not know the amount cloud seeding done in the world. China is the leader in this. California and Texas are the leaders in the USA. About 73% of all rain comes from the oceans. So a lot of rain has to come to Iowa and the Midwest is through California and Texas. The interesting thing is that California had lots of rainfall last year, extending west into the mountains and western USA. But the corn belt had drought. Seeding clouds for rain under some Texas studies says when the clouds are seeded they release about 24% more rain. One comment about seeding clouds is "Robbing Peter to pay Paul"
States and the Federal government need to work out some rules and regulations!
Also they are talking about treating clouds to reflect sunlight to lower ground temperatures in California. That means less water evaporation to form rain clouds that move to the corn belt.. So will future crop production in Iowa and the Midwest corn belt depend on Texas and California cloud seeding?
