Scpa | I have all the corn ground in a 4 way cover crop mix that is one bushel cereal rye, Veatch, crimson clover, and whatever radishes overwintered. I applied 4 ton of broiler manure per acre that has about 45-50 pounds of nitrogen per ton. We plant green as soon as the ground is fit AFTER the rye is in full head. I'm going off of Rick Clark's rye tests but am wondering how much nitrogen will be sequestered/produced by this mix. Also we apply 150 pounds of AMS banded on top of the row for starter.
