Subject: Replacing rear engine coupler Jd 9300, question see pics.

It’s been a good while since I’ve done one. Those splines have to be very dry as it took a good bar to get this shaft to move back. But shouldn’t it go a bit more? Nose is still just into coupler. Assuming splines are full of brown rust. Also, anyone ever have the u joint here wear out? Now is the time if need be. Almost 10000 hrs.
