Some nights I drink too much and watch videos. This one reminded me of 35+ years ago. My older sister got involved with an abuser and started coming and staying with us when it got too rough. She went to leave one time and he did a tap dance on her car hood and kicked in her windshield. She called me to come get her and when I got there he got between us and tried to stop her. It was a good thing I didn't have a gun under my seat like the video. I grabbed him and picked him up and moved him out of the way. I so wanted to hurt him like he hurt my sister, but fear of jail and fear he would take it out on her stopped me. She eventually left him and ended marrying a man younger than me. The abuser she was involved with was one of those spoiled children whose daddy kept bailing him out whenever he got in trouble. | |
