South cental Ohio
I was thinking about planting some spring barley on some prevented planting ground. My thoughts are it would grow and be nice and green until cold weather and then die, not wintering over, making for a nice spring planting condition in the spring with no burn down needed like rye or other cover crops. Help me out with my thoughts.
