Aggieland | Took this big watermelon off the vine today thinking it was a perfect day for one and this is what we found inside. I have no idea? I believe the variety is Jubilee but I could be wrong. I was told that a melon is ready when the “curly que” dies on the vine.
There are some cantaloupes near by. Not sure if that matters. This is the third melon we’ve picked and all have looked like this.
Garden has been watered well.
Thoughts?
