Southern Iowa | I really need to leave Ag Talk and go out to the shop and fix a few things, but the post below has me thinking.
How safe are the big online banks from closing down if things turn south faster than they may be already. Have some money in an online savings account currently just over 1% interest reserved for a future big purchase.
Is a smaller 2-3 branch local bank safer even though interest would be close to 0?
My fear from thinking too much and growing up in the 70's and 80's, is that the non-ag side of the country could bankrupt the online bank. | |
