Sanilac Co. Michigan | I've got what I think might be some decent wheat. Thus far the herbicide (perfectmatch) is on and the second nitrogen application has been made. So far @125-130# of actual this spring, previous crop dry beans and soy. I'm ready now to apply Pallisade and want to put down a fungicide.
Thing is, the growth stages for the crop don't seem to be even. The stuff drilled first appears to be @ Feeks 6-7, the last drilled looks closer to Feeks 5. I've got Sratego and I'm pretty comfortable applying it to the wheat that's a bit farther along, thinking I'll get some lasting protection through its most vulnerable stage, but I'm a little more concerned with the "small" wheat. I'm wondering if I shouldn't give it a week or so more growth, so it gets protection at its most vulnerable stage instead of wasting a couple weeks of coverage on its least vulnerable time. Not the end of the world making a special pass.
So, wait a bit or stop overthinking, put it down and move on?
