east central ND | In soggy eastern ND, I actually got in the first field yesterday. Ground that is tiled on 40’ centers. Still had to leave 15 ac out of the 125. Not pulling the coil packer behind the feild cultivator as it’s too wet sticky for that. It should be just fit enough to plant some corn today. More rain forecasted this week, especially Thursday. Tried my only other tiled field that was beans last year, 28 ac, no fall tillage, had to leave 4 ac on one end, very wet underneath, tile running hard.
Oh yea, full insurance replant coverage date was a month ago. I have had 9” of rain since the snow melted, ground froze up on the wet side last fall.
The rest of my ground is still saturated, with the possibility of getting on some sand knob acres by the end of the week if we do not get anymore rain, have some heat and sun, etc. but that’s not the forecast.
