| Last fall we decided to plant Kledin winter wheat on edible bean ground as a cover crop at a 3/4 bushel/acre seeding rate. Our objective at the time of planting was only to use the winter wheat as a cover crop, kill it in the spring, and proceed planting with our original planting rotation. However, as our spring planting continues to get delayed and the winter wheat appears to have survived the winter quite well and had excellent emergence last fall, we're not quite sure what to do. I know there is a ton of variables, but could we have a favorable winter wheat yield at only 3/4 bushel/acre seeding rate if we decided to take this to harvest? Thanks in advance. | |
