South of Moline, 67 to NN, West to 56th | A friend of mine will be losing her dial up U of I connection and her land line phone company does not offer any DSL.
What are her options to get at least another dial up or graduate to DSL?
I'm thinking she should find someone that does have DSL and try to piggy back with
them as in one of the other posts. She does some consulting and has some security sensitive concerns, what
are the security ramifications if she does piggy back, could they (say a neighbor down the road a mile who she might piggy back with
who CAN get DSL) somehow get at her email, see what sites she accesses etc?
She is very non technical, as am I. Her location is a few miles west of St Joeseph IL
