Hallsboro NC | I'm working on a MF 2605 with live PTO for a friend of mine. The problem is the PTO will not go in gear. When trying it out if I pull up on the lever it won't do anything. If I push down on the lever I could get it to grind a little but it would not go in gear. I have never worked on or operated one of these models. I know the older MF's up with the lever is engine, down is ground. Does this one work the same? I took the top off to look at the internals and the lever has way less travel than I feel like it should but it is maxed out. The lever moves a splined sheave on the shaft but it doesn't move it back far enough to engage the PTO shaft. I do not see any adjustment. Any help is appreciated! | |
