Subject: Shipping by train.

Southern Oregon
I have heard and it makes sense that shipping by train should be cheap compared to by truck. I am looking at grain prices here in Oregon and $500 a ton for cracked corn is as good as it gets. I understand that it is a lot cheaper back east. I met a number of neat people on my recent trip and the prices they are selling or buying corn for is a lot less than $500 a ton.

I have a spot here that will unload trains, but they know nothing about and have no contacts for shipping the car loads.
Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with shipping stuff by rail or know anyone that I can call to pick their brains?
