The cost of shipping a 40 ft container fell off a cliff this week from a week ago to $8000 from $15000 to the west coast. Although this is still over 4 times the $1500 dollar rate before the pandemic, there is light at the end of the tunnel. So please stop this panic buying. Most of this price gouging is due to high spot freight rates.
