Subject: Buckwheat in a winter annual cover mix

Northeast Missouri
Central Missouri...

Following cereal rye harvested for grain, I'm thinking of planting a cover mix of 25 pounds wheat, 5 lbs crimson clover, and 2 lbs. daikons next week. If I add some buckwheat to that mix (for more overall summer/fall growth), how many pounds should I use?

And is August 18th or so too early for that mix here?
