After Dave took the time to pick what we call black caps (small blackberries that when pulled off the vines look like a cap) that grow wild around here, and family is home. We just had to make this pie. It was a little tart, so ice cream solved that. Sad to see our son, his wife and our granddaughter leave tomorrow.
