Subject: Y dropping when it's dry

central WI
Forecast doesn't have anything substantial for rain for 10 days. Probably need to start Y dropping 28% next week based on crop stage, pull type sprayer so knee to waist high is my window. When it's dry am I better off using a Coulter injection rig? I have y drops but can rent a sidedress Coulter machine. In my opinion either one needs some rain to be ideal and Coulter rig is putting it 15" away from row. Obviously will be using Anvol or similar product. I'm fairly new to sidedressing so just wondering what opinions there are on what to do in this situation.
