Subject: Sudan and sorghum in dry conditions

45th parallel MI
We are not “out west” dry, but are in drought conditions. Our sudanx usually gets about 75# actual N on it (not scientific about it).

I really don’t want to deal with nitrate issues, but I won’t be able to irrigate as much this year as in the past.

I guess what I am asking is: is 75# of N too much for SorghumXSudan that will probably be stressed?

Thoughts? If these weather patterns hold I will absolutely get a forage test before feeding, and it will be grazed so limit feeding is an option.
