NW Iowa. / SW Arizona | I’ve got a 1280 head double sided hog finisher confinement I’m contemplating selling. I’m not 100% sure I want to sell it but want to investigate what used ones are worth. I’ve got a tax appointment with my CPA in two weeks so would like to have some kind of figure to present to figure what my tax liability might be.
Does anyone have a contact number to call to get an idea what it might be worth?
Without getting into a lot of details the barn was built in 1997 and had it’s tin roof replaced recently.
Slats are in good shape.
Gating is in good shape.
Building is in good shape.
Automatic backup generator on site.
Building is away from other farmsteads.
Anybody have a ballpark idea what used barns are bringing per pig space? With the price of lumber materials now I would think used ones should be holding their values to some degree you’d think.
