West Central Illinois | Got 2 bags teff grass to try on few acres that had cereal rye that was wet baled/wrapped over 2 weeks ago . Wow is it small Seed, don’t have a brillion seeder or a drill for that. Have a broadcast Seed spinner, my son did the best he could, last year we pit sorghum Sudan grass there and used that spreader. We followed recommendations and ran a culti- mulcher ahead of broadcast then rolled it in. 2 questions, have a 1/2 bag left, does the germ hold until next year or should I get it planted? Could plant it where we cleaned up from winter feeding. 2nd question, has anyone applied it with a spreader? I know it’s after the fact for me but I had heard of an area guy that used a small spreader on the back of a 4 wheeler. | |
