Subject: Switching implement / iso harness on 8410

I have what I call the “old” style implement harness on the back of my 8410. Used to control rate control on planter. Kind of push and twist the collar to get it to lock in.

On 7820 I have what I call the “new” style with the lever that locks it in. Seems to work much better.

Anyway, connector on 8410 is wore out. Gave me some issues last year. Want to put new style the on 8410 like I have on 7820.

Got the new style harness/connector from dealer and they said it should work as the parts diagram listed both styles for an 8410 or 8420.

I dont have it apart yet. Will this work? Is it a simple pull the old style harness out and plug the new one in?

I did add a steering valve to this a few years back when i took out the brown box and with that got a new harness with round end for my 2630 that comes out of corner post. Already have foot switch cabling in there....and nothing plugs in to my round power outlet towards the rear of the console.

Thanks!

Edit: pic is what I want to put on
