Subject: rewire lighter plug for EZ Steer

Blue Grass (Eastern IA)

I have the lighter plug to power the EZ steer. Can I just run 12 ga wires from the battery to the back of the socket to eliminate the problem with using the plug. Or is the connection between the plug and socket the problem? I will be switching between 3 tractors this spring and don't want to buy three power strips.
