Subject: Fertilizer spreaders, 1 spinner or 2 ?

Statesville, NC
I am looking at some small pull type fertilizer spreaders, about 2-3 ton capacity for use with a 50 hp tractor, smaller fields, and some hills. I have looked at specs on the Willmar S-200 and a Dempster Clipper 70, among others. Some claim one spinner is better, others claim 2 is better. Some work with a 100% overlap pattern and some do not overlap. I have no experience with either type and I hope someone else here does. I'm looking for a unit with a good spread pattern, and is simple, easy to clean and maintain, and is dependable. I did a search on this site and found an old thread where Plowboy mentioned he liked the drive system of the Dempster over the Willmar. Anyone have any other opinions on anything else about these spreaders or any other brands? TIA, Trent.
