I started looking over my Kinze finger units today. These are on a 10 year old econofold (I’m second owner). I took the first couple apart, then went to the manual to see about putting them back together. In the manual it calls for a wavy washer (thrust washer) under the nut that holds the finger assembly down. I have none of these. The CFO (Dad) thinks that they were deemed non essential and technicians did away with them. These meters have been calibrated on a precision stand in 2002 and a Kinze test stand in 2004. I’m not sure, but maybe either of these technicians could have tossed the washers. I called the service manager at the Kinze dealer that last calibrated them (in 2004), and he said they are still using them in meter repair and calibration. Any Kinze technicians out there with the correct answer? |
