Subject: Converting dry hay yields to haylage

Iowa
I've been getting 6.5 to 7.5 tons of dry hay (alfalfa).

Thinking of going to all haylage next year what can I expect for total tonnage if i did all my cuttings as haylage?

Came across a calculation that converts it calculation came up with 15 to 17 tons an acre. That seems high so wanting some real world numbers or expectations. Thanks

Also has anyone merged haylage windows with rubber mounted teeth wheel rakes like a rowse? Going to be trading rakes and don't have or really want a merger but cutting a 14ft swath with a self propelled cutter seems ridiculous
